She draws Strong Female Protagonist and many other comics, including Shattered Warrior from First Second, Castoffs from Roar, and The Witch Boy from Scholastic (fall 2017). She's been drawing SFP since sophomore year at the School of Visual Arts, and it's been quite a journey! She has a perfect cat, is a snappy dresser, and can cook a great steak.

Well written, focused on the ethics of superheroing in a way that highlights actual moral issues of the day (e.g. would it be ethical to use the power of the state to compel deceased organ donation?). It’s focused on conversation and characterization, not an action plot.
Strong Female Protagonist is $@$$ing awesome.
Love this series!
If you're reading this review they you've probably already read book one. While book one was excellent in its own right, book two takes everything that made book 1 good and makes it better. Where as book one was black and white, this one is color, and about 20% longer. If you enjoy Strong Female Protagonist then this is a must buy.In the off chance you do not know what Strong Female Protagonist is, then you should probably read the first book. While this may seem like just a super hero story, the truth is this is a story about the beating heart of American culture, feminism and social issues. It touches on race, gender, orientation and many other things. While there might be a slant in favor of a viewpoint, even that isn't done without an expression of the opposition, usually done with a level of care and respect that you wouldn't expect to see in any bias material.That isn't to say you shouldn't be aware that this book is heavy. There are some very real trigger warnings that this book mentions on the first page. This will go into sexual assault in a very vivid and real way. No graphic depictions, but it does not stray away from how women can be and often are treated. The issues are real and the topics are raw, but if you've read the first book then you're used to this. Book two takes everything in the first book and raises the volume a bit. There is still subtlty and there is more moral ambuiguity than before, but the emotional weight is going to be heavier this time around.In conclusion, Strong Female Protagonist is already top noche. The first book was incredible and book two manages to be even better. I highly recommend both books to anyone. Do not mistake this for some cheesy super hero story. This is an essential read for anyone.
